Tell Yuh Story !

“The Day the Boo Boo Man Spoke”….that was the winning entry performed by Carlana Neverson at the first “Tell Yuh Story” competition. Carlana from Trinidad and Tobago placed ahead of Linette Rabsatt from the Virgin Islands and Robert Gibson from Barbados along with a number of other talented story tellers from the Caribbean.

The prizes for the event were courtesy West Indian Women Network, PlentyTalent.com, A Better Life, Passionate Words Editing Service, Trinidad Weddings, George Rampersad, GPA, Britain Writes Poetry and Caribbean Book Marketing HubTT.

Linette Rabsatt managed to win the people’s choice award.

It should be noted that Carlana is otherwise also a singer, song writer, painter, voice over artist and a poet. She is also most proud of selling her paintings and actually also placing third last year and gaining people’s choice award  in the West Indian Women Network, Read Yuh Ting Too. Carlana also shared that “This was my first attempt at story writing. It definitely felt good to win. So many positive feelings arose, from excitement, pride and gratitude to God. This experience inspired me to write another story”. Which she did the next day!  This is proof that we all have talents waiting to be discovered.
