Glenford K. Adams

Glenford K. Adams was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad.  At the age of 14 he left Mt Hope Junior secondary moving to Buffalo, New York where he continued his education at Hutchinson Central Technical, one of the cities premier high schools.

In 1998, he pursued a film degree at Brooklyn College, focusing on screenwriting, producing, directing and production.  He immediately gained respect in the classroom and for his athleticism garnering him the 2002 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars Award.  Not long after, he received the Brooklyn College Directors’ Award for his hard work and dedication in directing.

His first project, through a few connections was soca artist Ken Marlon Charles (KMC) for the song ‘Ruff Wine’.  At the completion of this project, Kevin was back on his feet as ‘Ruff Wine’ became the number one song for weeks on Synergy TV.   Immediately following the success of the video, Kevin got back to his level of wanting to achieve more.  In May, 2003, he won the Kauffman Entrepreneurship Award for learning and developing the skills of running a production company.

In 2004, Kevin took advantage of his skills as a producer and produced for his colleagues at Brooklyn College.  One of his biggest producing accomplishments was another music video, ‘King of my Jungle’ directed by Darnel John, sung by Crystal Phipps and executive produced by Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson, a composer, producer, and heralded guitarist out of St Lucia.  The video played consistently on BET Jazz and was contender for a BET Jazz award.  In 2004, Kevin Adams had written, produced and directed his short film ‘Run’.  After being reviewed by the Brooklyn College Film Society, he was awarded a grant for its completion. In late 2004, Kevin began an internship with SONY Music, (now SONY BMG) in the marketing and promotions department, and then moved on to the video production department.  Not long after, with his powerful presence on music video sets, he was hired as a freelance production assistant by some of the top production companies such as Partisan, DNA, FM Rocks working with video and commercial directors such as Gil Green, Diane Martel, Chris Robinson, Davy Duhamel and more.
