Before falling in love with music, she dreamt of becoming a Veterinarian, but upon completing college she started working at Spice Basket Grenada as a performer/actress where she did plays and cultural shows. Her stint as a TV host on two local programs and her singing as part of a band opened many doors for her to display her talents. Her role models are the people around her and closest to her, including her family.
Christel’s experience included being a full time performer doing daily shows at locations throughout the island of Grenada including Sandals La Source and performing part time at the Spice Basket Grenada.
Christel recently took a long break from the music industry but is now doing a re-entry of sorts. She now goes by the name Lady La Guerre and she is very excited to refocus and spend time writing and creating songs that she is excited to share with the world. This year she is stepping into the soca world by incorporating her love for soul, afro beat and her country to bring you a different style. In July 2020 she released her new single “Dusk Till Dawn” produced by Jambelasee Grenada and Phat Tracks.
